Barcelona Wine Bar on 14th Street in Washington, DC recently celebrated Uruguay with a traditional Asado feast and regional wines selected by wine and spirits director Gretchen Thomas. Barcelona co-founders Sasa Mahr-Batuz and Andy Pforzheimer worked the grill alongside Chefs Michael Lucente and Andrea Anom, and Ulisis Jimenez. We were pleased to welcome our dear friend, winemaker Francisco Carrau of Bodegas Carrau in Urugay, one of our favorite wineries. Impossible to resist…the grill was hot, the meat was sizzling, and our guests were hungry!
